This search queries only the National Benthic Inventory database, not the website itself or the documents included in it. It works in a permissive mode so if you enter the word "arpini" in the "Scientific name" textbox, it will perform a search for all the scientific names that contains "arpini", such as Metharpinia floridana.
If you enter several words like "pinia flor" in the "Scientific name" textbox, a search will be performed for all the scientific names that contains "pinia flor" like "Metharpinia floridana".
